Or maybe economic forces reveal the fragility of an indiviudalistic society — when things get tough the robustness of the system is shown and instead of the blow's force being dissipated by the multi-link net of community it falls fully on individuals.
How does this map on to past surges of Fascism/Populism? Does it explain the cause of these movements better than economic foes?
